Synopsis: Basic CPS Seminar
Abstract:
The Basic Computerized Performance System seminar presentation is based upon the three books I have written and more than ten years of CPS field experience. The basic seminar covers proper terminology, pros and cons of using a Computerized Performance System as well as some valuable lessons learned. Other topics covered include discussing the effects of electro-magnetic interference, radio frequency interference, microwave interference and electro-static discharge have on computers and what to do about it.
This interactive presentation involves and engages the audience throughout with ample time for Q & A. Typical run time: 60-90 minutes.

The Basic Computerized Performance System seminar presentation is all about basic computer technology and the common sense use of these new tools within the Mobile Disc Jockey Industry. Points that will be covered include; common computer / CPS terminology, planning your CPS, buying / building your CPS, system configurations, preparing your CPS for gigs & putting music in the machine, system / software familiarity, preventive measures & troubleshooting your CPS, basic CPS marketing techniques and a thorough Q & A period throughout both presentations.
The concepts and content in this seminar has been developing and evolving which each new presentation since 2005 - no two presentations have been exactly the same. While all of the basic points of discussion are covered at each event, the open format dwells more deeply in areas that are more appropriate to the levels of experience within the audience, based upon their questions. This engaging format mixed with audience participation and some humor grabs attention from the very beginning, making it a much more rewarding experience for all involved.
