Seriously Officer, It Wasn’t Me

Friday, October 31st, 2008

Well it was just last week that I had another one of those truely interesting days.  Sure enough it started off just like any other day, but this one would quickly shift into the highest gear of weird!  Typically I start my day off by going over to one of my friend’s and we go walk a little over a mile - something that we recently started to help both of us get back into better shape as well as losing our chunkiness.  Anyway, I usually meet up with this friend around 8:30AM, however this particular Wednesday would be interrupted by a police detective showing up at my house around 8AM.  (more…)

Kids Say The Darnest Things - Part 1

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

OK, this actually happened a few months back, but I was reminded of it again a few days ago when I spent some quality time with my niece and nephew.  So between some of my friends having kids of their own and my sister’s little slice of domestic bliss, I have learned that the age-old saying that is also the title of this blog post is in fact quite true!  Some of the things I have heard come out of kid’s mouths also happen to be some of the funniest stinkin’ things I have ever heard.  But it’s not always the case with the kid who says it and is getting madder by the moment while you stand there biting a hole through your lip trying not to laugh.  Anyway, this is what happens when I get stuck watching my sister’s rug-rats…  (more…)

And Now, Something Completely Different

Friday, September 12th, 2008

For the past several months or maybe perhaps its even been the better part of a year, a few of my friends have repeatedly made the comments or suggestions for me to write something non-technical and non-DJ-related. After much deliberation, hemming & hawing and some good old fashioned procrastination - I have begun writing a fictional piece. (more…)

The Jacked-Up Hair Clinic

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Oh no! Not the hair clippers!!!Ah, the Memorial Day Weekend is an excellent time for remembering those who have served in the U.S. Military as well as spending time with family and friends. Which is excatly what I did, my sister had invited me, our parents and our grandmother over for a little family get-together and cookout. And we could not have asked for a much nicer day! The sun was out, it wasn’t too warm as well as there was a nice breeze blowing too. (more…)

Why Blog Anyway?

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

So why bother blogging anyway?

Well to answer that question or at least making some comments in response to that question makes for a somewhat lop-sided discussion because we all are of course blogging.  But, I am hoping to hear from others as well, who have only posted for the first time and why that may be too.  In other words, login and share your views or reasons for posting a lot or never posting  to blogs until now.  Tell us why you think that people like blogging who have been doing it for a while and/or why so many more people are just starting to get involved with it.

A few weeks ago I seen that there was an article about blogging in one of the local newspapers, the story was a bit slanted towards teens and MySpace.com specifically.  I know for a fact that there are quite a few more sites out there where you can blog such as FaceBook and others.  Of course folks could just as easily add a blog to their own personal website - such as I have here using WordPress - if they were so inclined.  But the article never asked, much less tried to answer the most important question of all; why blog?

What do you think?
